Gabriel Mann has done and continues to do just about everything there is to do in music. He produced Sara Bareilles' Careful Confessions, he was the resident songwriter on Fox's Arrested Development, and currently provides the score for ABC's Modern Family. He opened for Alanis Morissette on tour through Europe and Jamie Cullum here in the States, sang all the island fare in Office Space, and engineers and mixes music from around the world.
Gabriel spends most of his days composing scores for video games (F.E.A.R., the Legend of Spyro series, Crash Bandicoot, TimeShift) and TV shows (Worst Week, Carpoolers, Sex Love and Secrets, Arrested Development, Over There), and is always contributing his voice and songs to movies (Sleepover, Superhero Movie, Urban Legends, Office Space, Spiderman 3, Brother Bear, The Polar Express). He's an occasional sideman for other artists (opened for the Rolling Stones in England touring with Tim Burgess of the Charlatans), and somewhere in there finds time to make his own records.
Songs from Mann's albums have been licensed to many television shows (The Hills, Grey's Anatomy, Army Wives, What About Brian) and films (Superhero Movie, Sydney White, Ghost Ship, American Pie 5), and he's been honored with several awards, including the Overall Grand Prize in the 2003 USA Songwriting Competition for "Lighted Up" from his sophomore effort, Tug of War. Radio & Records named Gabriel one of the "Artists to Watch for 2005", and he's been one of Music Connection's top 100 Unsigned Artists in Los Angeles three years running. His most recent, eponymous album won the Just Plain Folks Awards 2nd prize in the College Rock Album category (out of over 25000 albums), while the title track from his 5th and latest album Tall Buildings was a finalist in the 2007 John Lennon Songwriting Contest.
